Introduction to Chinese Medicine

We have taken the decision to temporarily close the clinic until the coronavirus situation is no longer a national emergency. I have a duty of care not only to my patients but also to the wider community to ensure that we reduce the spread of the virus.

Acupuncture improves our ability to resist illness and is thus a preventative form of medicine. Frequently 50% of symptoms disappear after first treatment.

Western and Chinese medicine compared:

Western medicine is linear, reductionist and invasive.
Chinese medicine focuses on human energy fields
and the cyclical movement of energy.
Drug based treatments mask symptoms and often lead
to side effects worse than the original problem.
Acupuncture has almost no side effects and thus is
safe for children, adults and the elderly.
